Neria pressed close, her nose brushing his jaw, like a needy cat wanting affection. He was so blessedly warm, she though she might weep just from the overwhelming emotions in her chest. She was back with them, back with him, and things could only get better now. Her hands closed around him, one in the back of his tunic, the other near the ends of his hair.
"Kell," she whispered, elated. Her mind voice was quiet but couldn't seem to stop talking, too excited, too pleased--

She shuddered out a breath that might have been a laugh, feeling foolish. She released him for just a moment so she could pull him, look him in the face. Her hands cupped his cheek. "Maker's breath, you're the best thing I've seen in days," she admitted, smiling enough for her cheeks to hurt.
