Kell was a sight when they parted. Neria's eyes were wide, taking him in, and she did not hold back the faintest hint of a smile on her lips. She followed him, letting his fingers catch in her tunic, and almost started back in when he tugged off the cloak.
His coat was beneath it. She always admired it and its different colors.
But the buttons...
Neria made a sound in her throat, half-laugh, half-sigh, and she dipped her head to brush her lips over Kell's jaw, just beneath his ear. "The last time I needed to get someone out of clothes quickly, I burned their shirt." Her fingers delicately worked on the buttons, one by one, agonizingly slow for the thinly veiled threat she spoke to his skin. "Right down the middle." Not the coat. She wouldn't do that; that'd be completely unforgivable.
But as just the top of Kell's skin came exposed, more of his throat, she let her mouth trail down just as slowly, paying attention to every small bit of him that she found. Each piece of Kell she discovered was as precious to her as the last.
