Her laugh echoed his, breathy, just a ghost of a sound against his collar. "If I had more to spare," she teased, and actually contemplated the loss of a single shirt if it meant calling his bluff. But she'd need it to slip back into her own tent later, no matter where this ended up, so she left the implication where it was.
As more of Kell was shown to her, her eyes found that silver scar again. Her fingers sought it out, the gesture far gentler than she'd shown so far, just the tips of her fingers brushing over it. No other scars, nothing. It was as if nothing had happened since she left.
It occurred to her, in that moment, that beneath her fingers, Kell's heart was beating. He was warm. Had he even truly died?
